Play School Program

Our Playschool Program is designed for children ages 2 to 5 and runs for two hours each session. We believe in creating a nurturing environment where young learners can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our unique approach to early childhood education emphasizes engaging, hands-on experiences and a rich, living curriculum, fostering a love for learning from the very start.

Who it’s for

3 Focus Areas

Habit Training

We believe in instilling positive habits from a young age, which is why habit training is a core focus of our program. Through consistent practice and reinforcement, children learn important life skills such as responsibility, respect, and self-discipline.

Nature Exploration

From our outdoor nature walks to gardening activities, we encourage children to explore the wonders of the natural world. Through hands-on experiences, they develop a deeper appreciation for the environment and learn valuable lessons about sustainability and conservation.

Rich Literature

Our curriculum is rich in literature, exposing children to a diverse range of stories, poems, and classic tales. Through storytelling, discussions, and dramatic play, children develop language skills, expand their imagination, and cultivate a lifelong love for reading.

Why choose Play School?

Life Skills & Academic Concepts

While play is at the heart of everything we do, we also recognize the importance of preparing children for the future. We introduce essential life skills such as problem- solving, critical thinking, and effective communication. In addition, we gently introduce academic concepts in age-appropriate ways, laying a solid foundation for future learning success.

Preparing for the Future

At our Play School, we are not just preparing children for big school—we are preparing them to take on the world. Our holistic approach to early childhood education equips children with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to navigate life’s challenges and embrace endless possibilities.

Cultivating Young Minds with the Charlotte Mason Approach

Our approach exposes children to a wide array of ideas, sparking curiosity and fostering a love for learning. With a rich blend of literature, outdoor exploration, and the development of lifelong habits, we encourage kids to engage with the world in diverse and meaningful ways. Whether they come back with mud on their clothes, grass stains on their knees, or twigs in their hair, these signs of adventure reflect the valuable connections they make with new concepts and the natural world.

Step into our outdoor classrooms and experience a learning environment like no other. Our spaces are carefully designed to inspire creativity, curiosity, and collaboration. Surrounded by nature, children have the freedom to engage their senses, develop gross motor skills, and connect with the natural world in meaningful ways.

Camper Stories

  • We finally found the Play School that our son loves to explore!

After weeks of establishing routines and familiarizing the environment, our son now comfortably plays with his classmates and tunes with nature. He happily walks out with either soaked or sand-filled shoes, and didn’t mind getting barefoot too. The outdoor classroom and hands-on experience definitely nurture his curious mind. And we commend the teachers for making sure that the children are safe, learning and also having fun!

  • A Big Help for Working Parents

When my son was only three months old, I was already trying to find ways to make my life continue working even after having a kid. But I didn’t want to hire a nanny for personal reasons. Lo and behold, Curious Campers was about to open inside the society then. I enrolled my son as early as one year old, but I never had a hard time leaving him in the “playground” (as we call it) because there’s so much to do to support his curiosity and burn his energy.

What I love about this small place is beyond the model. I have felt genuine love and care from the teachers and owner most especially when we reached the “toddler stage”, where my son’s behavioral development was being observed and how the teachers showed willingness to support me, for me to better address my son’s needs. I realized that this is NOT just a childcare center or playschool but rather a community where support is openly available.

Moreover, having this kind of support available enables me to fulfill my other responsibilities.

I’m grateful for this community and our caregivers for everything they do.

  • There aren’t many schools like them in the country and as one of the pioneers of this model, they have sure set the bar high.

Our daughter is just 2 years old and as an only child, we really wanted to look for a school where she can play, learn, and most of all, learn how to socialize. We were thrilled when we first found out about Curious Campers. It reminded us of Calypso’s school in Bluey which we’re a huge fan of! At first, we were very anxious about leaving her in school since she has never spent a single second of her life without either of her parents beside her. You can imagine our joy when we saw that she quickly warmed up to the teachers and the other kids. We also love how the teachers send us updates of her activities within the day—they come with photos too! Although she’s still 2, we’ve decided to keep enrolling her every cycle except perhaps if we’re going to be away for some time to travel or if there are too many holidays during that period (unless make up classes are already a permanent option). Long story short, the Curious Campers has been extraordinary and we would sincerely recommend other parents to enroll their kids here. There aren’t many schools like them in the country and as one of the pioneers of this model, they have sure set the bar high.

  • Focus of the school is on the outdoor, which Toby loves.

We are very grateful for all the teachers and staff of the Curious Campers playschool for taking good care of Toby. He has learned so much, especially on his social skills. We also like that the main focus of the school is on the outdoor, which Toby loves.

  • As parents, we love how you take learning beyond four walls.

Everyday is a blast for Mikael at Curious Campers. He looks forward to activities like storytelling, artworks, problem-solving exercises, free play in a nature vibe, and the fun music. As parents, we love how you take learning beyond four walls. The outdoor setting allows the kids to develop their curiosity, creativity and confidence. • I am seeing improvement and confidence level in my child's overall personality!

Our child comes home every day telling us stories about how fun it is to be in school. The play-based learning approach is amazing! The way you are making education 'fun while learn' speaks volumes about the efforts you do. I am seeing improvement and confidence level in my child's overall personality development and physical activity.

  • Our 3 year old, who typically takes time to warm up, adjusted pretty fast!

Great outdoor space for kids to run wild with their imagination, play with other kids, and down right just have tons of fun. Very professional and good teachers. Our 3 year old, who typically takes time to warm up, adjusted pretty fast and didn’t want to go home when we pick him up — goes to show how much fun he has at Curious Campers!

  • My daughter is 3 years old and she really likes the school setup!

Charlotte Mason inspired teaching i would say is very effective for us since my daughter loves nature study and hands on learning. She tried summer class programs but never allowed me to leave her in class so I was very surprised when she let me go during her first day at the Curious Campers! I already have other mommy friends who inquired and hopefully they enroll their children too!

  • She's become more open to socialize, play and talk to other people.

    My daughter loved Curious Campers!
Prior to joining the centre, she was timid and generally afraid to interact with adults and kids alike. After a few sessions, I've noticed some changes in her personality. She's become more open to socialize, play and talk to other people (even to strangers!) Now she is more confident in attending a bigger preschool - I learned from her teachers and other parents that she's one of the most friendly in her class! Thank you Curious Campers!

  • Curious Campers is a wonderful playschool for kids that enjoy the great outdoors.

The teachers are very personable and they provide lots of good photos and feedback so that you can also appreciate the experience of your child. Definitely recommend this playschool for toddlers!

  • She really adjusted well and even mentioned missing Child Care when she was at home.

Initially my daughter was a bit hesitant being left alone at a new place. But after a day or two she really adjusted well and even mentioned missing Child Care when she was at home. She really loves the place specially the outdoor time - which made me primarily select this place. My daughter also made lots of friends here, she remembers their name, even her teacher's name because she is so fond of them. I believe this really helped her with socializing with kids her age and even with adults (teachers). The activity time they usually have outdoor is a great bonus.

Thank you so much Curious Campers!

  • We’re convinced that bringing our son to the Child Care helps his mental and social development.

My son is always excited to go to the day care and work on activities with his classmates and teachers. When he gets home, he’s very eager to share what he learned and did during the day. At the day care, he learned how to write letters and count numbers; he now know how to share and wait for his turn.

We’re convinced that bringing our son to the child care helps his mental and social development. We’re very happy that we have access to this kind of service/facility.

  • My toddler loves it here!

More than just a Child Care, they have a progressive approach and make learning really fun with a lot of outdoor based play and activities, allowing my child to thrive! The teachers are fantastic and I highly recommend them!

  • I absolutely loved how they have an app that updated me with my son!

We drove 30km to try Curious Campers and it was so worth the drive! My 3-year-old absolutely loved his experience. As soon as I dropped him off, he instantly gravitated towards the outdoor toys. When I told him I would leave already, he just nodded and let me go. I left him for 8 hours (the longest we've ever been apart!) Safe to say, I was more anxious than he was. When I picked him up, he was in high spirits and animatedly shared with me the things he did in school.

I was told he only cried because he was looking for a bottle of milk (which I was trying to wean him off from) But other than that, he really enjoyed his experience!

I believe every child's learning style is different but as for my son who loves the outdoors, getting dirty, and everything tactile, this is perfect for him.

Also, as a Mom dropping his child off to school for the first time, I absolutely loved how they have an app that updated me with my son with photos, how much he ate for lunch, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Both Child Care and Play School support early childhood development but serve different purposes:

    • Child Care focuses on unstructured play, socialization, and daily routines. It provides a nurturing space where children explore, develop creativity, and build social skills through free play. It also has longer hours, making it more like Play School but spread out through the day. This includes lunch and nap times, giving children more time to settle into a comfortable daily rhythm. Mixed-age groups are common, encouraging cooperation and peer learning.

    • Play School offers a more structured learning environment to prepare children for formal schooling. While play remains a key element, the focus shifts toward building early literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, and good learning habits to support a smoother transition into formal education.

  • Yes, we do! Our Playschool program covers what most families commonly refer to as Nursery or Pre-K. We simply call it "Playschool" to emphasize our play-based approach, but here's how it typically aligns with traditional naming:

    • Toddlers (2 years old)

    • Nursery (3 years old)

    • Pre-K (4 years old)

If you're looking for a nursery or pre-k class, you're in the right place — it's all part of our Playschool program.

  • We accept children ages 2 to 5, with separate classes for 2-year-olds, 3-year-olds, and 4- to 5-year-olds. Class placement is based on the child’s age as of the school year's cut-off date. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about this.

Our enrollment policy follows the Department of Education’s (DepEd) cutoff requirement, which states that a child must be 5 years old by August 31 of the school year to qualify for kindergarten.

  • Our minimum child-to-teacher ratio is 1:4, ensuring personalized attention and a nurturing learning environment. This ratio may adjust depending on the children's ages to provide the appropriate level of guidance and support.

  • Our programs strictly adhere to a drop-off policy- However, exceptions may be made in certain circumstances, as stated in the program guidelines. As a general rule, parents/guardians or caregivers are not permitted to stay in the center. This policy is designed to support your child's adjustment to the environment, promoting independence and self-confidence.

You may instead find updates, photos, videos and notes for the day through our school app. This ensures that you remain connected and informed about your child's experiences while they are with us.

  • We understand that life can be unpredictable, and circumstances may arise that require adjustments to your schedule. As fellow parents, we know the importance of flexibility and understanding. Please feel free to reach out to us, and let's have a conversation about your needs. We're here to work together and find a solution that's fair and accommodating for everyone involved.

  • Weather doesn't hold us back. Rain or shine (except for REALLY bad weather), there's always something to learn outdoors. In fact, each weather condition offers its own unique lessons. Rainy days are perfect for studying water cycles and observing how different plants and animals respond to precipitation. Sunny days invite exploration of shadows, photosynthesis, and the importance of sunscreen.

Ultimately, outdoor classes foster a sense of wonder and curiosity that can't be replicated indoors. They encourage kids to use all their senses, to ask questions, and to engage with the world in a meaningful way. So let's embrace the mess, brave the elements, and let our kids roam free in the great outdoors in appropriate clothing of course!

  • You may continue with us to Kinder 2! Your child will be assigned a Learner's Reference Number (LRN), which means that your child's Kinder 2 learning is officially recognized, allowing for a smooth transition to a big school or continued learning through homeschooling.

Should you decide to do homeschooling, we have a dedicated program designed to support and guide families through their homeschooling journey.

Whether you choose a traditional school setting or a home-based approach, we’re here to help you navigate the next steps with confidence.
